Every season, we end with a Community Impact Project. This teaches the importance of working as a team to give back to our community. Our Roy Gomm team decided to host a bake sale for their project and ended up raising $500! In addition, they received a $500 match. When asked where they would like to donate the money, they decided to donate it back to GOTR Sierras. Specifically, they wanted their donation to go towards allowing other girls to participate in the program the same way they got to (insert happy tears). This is a direct example of the values Girls on the Run teaches young girls and how the skills they acquire are going to help them change the world. 🌟
